CHINA: BANANAS COULD BECOME MORE EXPENSIVE BY THE COLD WAVE

According to a recent article in a Chinese newspaper in the province of Yulin, the price of bananas in the country could rise dramatically in 2016.A cold wave that arrived in the region at the end of 2015 gives rises this prediction.

Although ready for harvesting bananas account for only between 7% and 8% of national production, the cold had effects in other regions, which had to be transplanted to warmer places, which means a delay in the crop. Naturally, the marketing season will be reduced, which will surely affect its price.
